Giving

St John's, like all Church of England churches, is heavily dependent on the generosity of it's congregation, parishioners and visitors.  As well as income to cover our day-to-day operating expenses such as heating, lighting and maintenance, St John's is dependent on donations to fund its missional activities and pay our share of the common mission fund (CMF) that helps pay for ministry across Winchester Diocese and for the services provided to parishes by the Diocese. Understandably, the coronavirus pandemic has had a significant impact on St John’s income.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK tax payer and your total giving to all charities in each tax year does not exceed four times the amount of income or capital gains tax you pay, you can claim Gift Aid on your donations.  This means that for every £1 you donate, the UK Government will increase your donation by 25p at no additional cost to you.  Both Give A Little and the Parish Giving Scheme can claim Gift Aid on your donations on our behalf.  If you are able to do so, please use this facility to increase the value of your donation.

On behalf of St John's, Hedge End

Thank you
