The Wildlife Haven & Peace Garden

This project was conceived about three or four years previously and opened by The Rt. Revd. Paul Butler, Bishop of Southampton in June 2006.

Our vision was to make part of our churchyard a special place of peace for rest and prayer and reflection on God's creation. So the wildlife haven expresses this with it's wild flowers, pond and decking walk under a large willow tree.

There are Prayer Walk leaflets in the church for anyone who may wish to spend a time with God making use of the Wildlife Haven and Peace Garden.

We hope you will try it and that you may sense God's presence and enjoy the wonder of his creation.

Regular workdays are held between Spring and autumn and pond dipping sessions are held in August for children in the Parish.  A photographic record plus press cuttings of all the Workdays and events has been produced by Dennis White and is available for viewing on request  from Chris White – Wildlife Haven & Peace Garden Co-ordinator   tel 01489 783204
